“There Are No Cults In Dowen College” – Principal Says In Court
The principal of Dowen College, Lagos, says there are no cults in the school. This was part of her testimony in magistrate court in Ikeja, Lagos, on Tuesday, as the court sought to determine what caused Sylvester’s death.
Mrs Adebisi Layiwola, who has served as principal of the school for four years, admitted that cases of bullying pop up once in a while, but that they have zero tolerance for bullying and they deal with suspected bullies.

“We have suspended and expelled some students in the past because of bullying.” She said
She said she did not believe that it was bullying or a cult group that caused Sylvester’s death.
When lawyers asked her if she was aware that some parents had withdrawn their children from the school because of bullying, She said no.
