Queen Firdaus of Iwoland: Kano Princess Turns Into A Yoruba King’s Wife (Photos)
Oluwo of Iwo married a princess of the royal family of Kano on Saturday.
The wedding was historic because the Madaki family, a royal family of Kano Hausa land, gave away their daughter in marriage to another kingdom in a Yoruba land.
Abdullahi Sarki Sani Yola, the late Madakin Kano’s daughter, is the new Iwo queen.
Princess Firdauz Abdullahi (now “Queen of Iwoland”) is the granddaughter of the late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero.
The wedding took place on the 19th of March, 2022, at around 11 a.m. at the Madakin residence in Kano.
