A young seminarian died as he performed a drama to mark Easter celebration.
The Seminarian is identified a Suel Ambrose, who is 25 years old.
Ambrose collapsed and died during the Easter Passion Play. Nobody knows what killed the young man.
Suel Ambrose is a year one student of the Claratian Institute of Philosophy, part of the Claratian University of Nigeria Nekede, in Imo State, Southeast Nigeria.
As most Christians do every year at Easter time, Catholic schools organize plays to tell the story of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The late Ambrose played the role of St Peter when he fell.
According to reports, the incident caused quite a stir at the school. As he collapsed, so many people rushed him to the Federal Medical Center in Owerri.
Unfortunately, they pronounced him dead at the hospital.
Chukwuemeka Iheme, a school priest, confirmed the report but said the management should talk more about the incident.
Ambrose started bleeding after he fell
Because of the incident, the management of the Claratian University of Nigeria suspended all Easter activities.
“It was the part of the drama whete soldiers started pursuing children, we saw Ambrose fall and started bleeding” a witness said.
“We took him to the school clinic, where doctors attempted to save him but he did not respond.”
“And he was later pronounced dead,’ the source said.
