The Nigeria Police Lagos State Command has detained a lady who claimed on social media that she was kidnapped and raped.
The police revealed that Omotoyosi who had initially claimed that some people kidnapped and raped her, later confessed, claiming that she was just chasing clout and voluntarily went to the police station herself.
“The lady had voluntarily present edherself to the police station,” said SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, on Twitter, “questioning is ongoing. ”
Earlier on Thursday, April 14, she sent out a distress post on her Twitter account, where she called people to help her because some boys had kidnapped and raped her.

Her tweet made Nigerians, her family and even the Lagos police jump into action as they tried to rescue Toyosi from the hands of her captors.
The police even rushed to the location where Toyosi claimed she was held.

But later, Toyosi made a video in which she said, “I am fine, i was not Kidnapped or raped. I’m fine, and I’m not making this video under duress or anything. I am doing fine. I am in my house. Please stop calling or threatening those numbers. I am okay. Thank you very much. ”
