IPOB Sit At Home Order: Nigerian Police Tell People In Imo State To Ignore Threat By Jaguda Boys

The police has encouraged people in Imo state to go out and live their normal lives.

The state command said people should ignore the threat from the jaguda boys and continue to obey the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob)’s weekly sit-at-home order.

Some jaguda boys put up posters in various parts of the state to instill fear in people. the poster says, “School children should not sing the national anthem.”

“The intention of the posters is to instill fear in our people, especially in our educational institutions,” Rabiu Hussaini, Commissioner of Police, said in a statement.

Confusion over IPOB’s sit-at-home order

Home of the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, George Obiozor, suffered the latest attack from the jaguda boys.

Armed men set fire to the elder’s house on Saturday in Awo-Omamma, Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State.

Report claims that the armed men who police claim are Ipob members used Improvised Explosive Devices to destroy the building.

Before the attack on Obiozor’s house, the gunmen killed two officers.

Police said the two officers died after an attack on the police facility in Umuguma, Owerri West Council area of Imo State.
