Former CEO Of Twitter, Jack Dorsey And Jay-Z Appoint 3 Nigerians To Lead Bitcoin Trust Fund
Former CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, appointed three Nigerians to lead Btrust, which he established with popular American rapper, Jay Z, to fund Bitcoin development in Africa.
He made this announcement on his official Twitter account as he congratulated the board members of the company, which included a South African.
The three Nigerians are Obi Nwosu, Abubakar Nur Khalil, and Ojoma Ochai.
The South African amongst them is Carla Kirk-Cohen.
The Nigerians will have an appointment despite the fact that the Nigerian government has banned cryptocurrency activities in Nigeria.
Nigerians are part of a group that trades cryptocurrency well, but the Central Bank of Nigeria banned cryptocurrency early this year.

He and Jay Z had established Btrust to fund Bitcoin development in India and Afriva, and they both put 500 bitcoins into the trust.
The aim of the trust is to make Bitcoin the internet currency.
Dorsey said they will not give any direction to the board members, meaning that the four board members will take decisions by themselves.
