Gunmen Kidnap 100 People While Going To Church In Kaduna

In Kaduna, unknown gunmen kidnapped dozens of worshippers from Emmanuel Baptist Church in the Kakau Daji community, which is located in the Chikun Local Government Area, as they were going to worship on Sunday, October 31st, 2021.

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. John Hayab, revealed that they shot a worshipper dead on the spot, and added that over 100 people are still missing.

100 people were kidnapped.

An official of the Kaduna state government confirmed the incident but did not reveal the details of the incident.

One of the survivors, Ishaya Yohanna, told BBC Pidgin that the Sunday worship service was going on normally before they appeared from nowhere and opened fire.

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria’s Kaduna branch, Joseph Hayab, said they buried the worshipper who died.

He revealed that two other worshippers were critically injured and were taken to the hospital.

“We are still counting how many people are missing, but we are up to 100,” the chairman said.
