Ghanaian Police Arrest Three Suspects Who Tried To Sell A Dead Body To A Fetish Priest
In Ghana, police arrested three suspects who allegedly murdered a man to sell his body parts to a fetish priest. The suspects were arrested yesterday, on Monday, October 11th, 2021.
According to the Ghanaian Police force, after allegedly killing a 30-year-old man, the three suspects attempted to sell his dead body for Ghc7,000 (seven thousand Ghanian cedis, 475,803 naira).
The suspects, who are identified as 42-year-old Kalefe Korku, 21-year-old Afedo Kpotor, and 27-year-old Ametoke Sitsofe, killed an innocent man, but it is not yet known how the incident happened.
The Volta Regional Police Command PRO, ASP Efia Tenge, released a press statement saying the suspects were looking for buyers who had an interest in buying the dead body, and the police force pretended to be buyers.
They negotiated with the alleged killers who agreed to meet in Agavedzi, near a lagoon, and after seeing the police, they abandoned the body and ran away.
The police tracked the alleged killers down to their hideouts, where they arrested them.
The police deposited the victim’s dead body at a hospital morgue called Ketu South Municipal Hospital Morgue, and they identified him as Albert Anyinado.
The suspects are still in police custody and are currently being investigated.
