8 Children Found Dead In A Car And Reports Claim They Locked Themselves In
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered a fast and proper investigation into the deaths of eight children who “allegedly” mistakenly locked themselves in an abandoned car.
The eight children died after they allegedly locked themselves in an abandoned car in the Jah-Michael community in Badagry, Olorunda Local Government Area of Lagos.
Reports say that they are between the ages of four and six, and they mistakenly locked themselves in a Lexus SUV vehicle.
The security officer found them in the car which was in front of the car owner’s house on Saturday, December 4th, 2021.
Local reporters called Naija News report said a resident said they were trapped in the car and died of suffocation due to a lack of oxygen.
The reporters added that the residents claimed that they found them dead a few hours later when one of the children’s parents was looking for their child.
The commissioner of police said their bodies have been deposited in Badagry General Hospital mortuary for autopsy to determine what their actual cause of death was, as they don’t believe they died because of lack of oxygen.
