Yemi Osinbajo Denies Reports Of Him Being The Owner Of The Collapsed 21-Storey Building
Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, has denied reports which say that he is the owner of the 21-storey building which collapsed in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
Professor Yemi Osinbajo released a statement saying that he does not have anything to do with the property, even its land.
Not too long ago, local reporters allegedly said in their reports that the vice president is the owner of the land on which they built the 21-story IKOYI building that collapsed, and the building itself.
In reply to the reports, Yemi Osinbajo said he does not have anything to do with the land or the property at all.
“I do not have any interest whatsoever and I have never had any interest, whether legally or beneficially, in the land, the building or development.” Yemi Osinbajo said in the statement.
The vice president added that he has never bought the land or any piece of land from Chief Michael Ayo Ojo.
The vice president said he has declared all his property and assets for the public, adding that he has reported the case to his lawyers, who will take the case up for prompt legal action.
