Oduduwa University Founder Arrested Over Alleged Death Of Postgraduate Student Of OAU.
Dr Ramon Adedoyin, founder of Oduduwa University and the Polytechnic, Ile-Ife, has been arrested by The Osun State Police Command over the tragedy and death of a master’s degree student of Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife. Dr Adedoyin who is also the Chairman of Hilton Hotel and Resort, Ile-Ife.
Timothy Adegoke, the deceased, came all the way from Abuja on the 5th of November to sit for his examination which was to be held at OAU distance learning centre, Moro, Osun State that day. Suddenly, two days after the exam, on the 7th of November, Mr Timothy Adegoke, was declared missing and was later found dead that same day.
The police, as expected did there investigations and were able to find and arrest six suspects linked to the death of the student.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode issued a statement, through his spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, on Wednesday, saying Dr Adedoyin was arrested on November 15, 2021.
The Command also said the suspect, Adedoyin is currently in police custody or detention, undergoing interrogation(s) in connection with the aforementioned caseas they wait patiently for the autopsy report from the hospital.
He also thanked members of the public, especially the bereaved family, students, and management of OAU for their patience and willingness to assist the police the way they could; giving necessary information concerning the case. And later added that it doesn’t matter how high or low the personality of the person involved in the case is placed in the society, if he is found culpable, would be brought to justice immediately.
