How 13 Nigerians Died In Two Seperate Accidents On Christmas Day, Many Injured
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) said 13 people died in two separate accidents on Christmas day in Ogun state.
The Nigerian command said in a statement that the accident happened on Christmas Day in Ogun state.
One of the accidents happened around 3am on Saturday, the 25th of December, 2021 on a long bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The Road Safety Commission said the 18-seater bus crashed into a lorry that was parked on a bridge and killed six people.
The Spokesperson of the Ogun State Command, Florence Okpeh, said they evacuated the dead people to the mortuary and moved the injured to hospital.

“The other accident happened in Sagamu Ore Benin expressway involving a luxury bus which crashed on the Ososa bridge when it was travelling at midnight.”
“Seven people died in the accident and many people were injured.”
The Spokesperson of the Road Safety Commission, Bisi Kazeem, said the agency launched “Operation Zero Tolerance to Road Traffic Crashes” to avoid accidents during the festive day.
In a statement, the spokesperson said the FRSC deployed 30,000 officers in different parts of Nigeria to handle accidents on the roads during the festive day.
