Eight People Die After Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack

The Abuja-Kaduna train attack on Monday, March 28 left eight people dead and another 26 with injuries.
According to Kaduna state Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan,

The suspected bandits used explosives on the track to force the train to stop.
After the Abuja-Kaduna train stopped, gunmen surrounded the carriages and started shooting.
Samuel Aruwan said, according to train documents, 362 people had entered the di train according to the recognized turnstile.

“Investigations are still ongoing to determine which passengers were on the train when it went missing at the time of this update.”
He did not, however, account for the number of NRC employees and security personnel on duty during the train ride.
Various reports are circulating in the media claiming that the number of passengers could be higher than the supposed number. The government is trying to determine the exact number.
Before this latest attack, many people thought that the safest way to travel between Abuja and Kaduna was by train, but everything changed when this incident happened.
