To qualify for the Yale Young African Scholars Program 2025, students must meet the following requirements:

• Age: Must be between 14–18 years old as of July 17, 2025.
• Language Proficiency: Ability to participate in an English-language program.
• Citizenship: Must be a citizen or permanent resident of an African country. Students with refugee status in an African country are also eligible.

• Grade Level: Must be in 10th or 11th grade (or equivalent).
