M.K.O Abiola National Stadium Allegedly Banned By FIFA After Nigeria Vs Ghana World Cup Chaos

Reports say that Fifa has banned Abuja’s M.K.O Abiola National Stadium because of the riot that occurred in the stadium after the football match between Super Eagles of Nigeria and Black Stars Of Ghana.

On Tuesday, a CAF medic died after the riot and that’s what made everything worse.

Reports say that Dr Joseph Kabungo, the doping control officer, passed away in Mko abiola national stadium from cardiac arrest.

However, as of now, NFF’s spokesperson claimed that Fifa have yet to inform them of any ban.

As the Nigerian players entered the locker room shortly after the game, some enraged fans started throwing stones at them with plastic water bottles.

“We are angry because we used our money to buy tickets and pay transportation to come to the mko abiola national stadium to watch this stupid match. This Super Eagles do not play well at all. We are angry,” some fans said.

Some fans rushed into the pitch a few minutes later, and after they ran into the pitch for the first few minutes, they became violent, but at that they did not destroy properties until later on.

Some reports say that before they started destroying properties, the fans were snapping pictures of the brand new pitch.

They posed at the goal post, in the net, and in the technical crew stand.

As the crowd started getting bigger, one of the security personnel sprayed tear gas, and at that time, the real commotion started.

At that point, enraged fans started destroying things.

Reporters watched as they tore the net for one of the goal posts and started destroying the technical crew and substitute bench.
