Iyabo Ojo Announces R@lly Over Mohbad’s Death
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has declared her intention to organize a protest in Lagos State to demand justice for the late singer Mohbad.
She made this announcement during an Instagram live session, revealing that her NGO, Pinkies Foundation, would be delivering a letter to the state government in advance of the planned rally on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
Iyabo Ojo called upon fellow entertainers within the industry to join the protest and urged Governor Sanwo Olu to use his influence to ensure thorough investigations.
She emphasized the importance of a genuine investigation, stating, “We don’t want an audio investigation.” She expressed regret that they had not been able to protect Mohbad while he was alive.

The circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death, who was a former signee of Marlian Music, have sparked controversy. The late singer had previously alleged threats to his life by individuals associated with the Marlian record label owned by Naira Marley.
In response to public concerns and preliminary reviews, the Lagos State Police Command initiated a full-scale criminal investigation into Mohbad’s case. Additionally, a petition to ban Marlian Music, Mohbad’s former record label, has gained over 250,000 signatures on change.org at the time of this report.
