Burna Boy Wins Best African Act At MTV Europe Music Awards 2022
Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy, wins the ‘Best African Act’ category at the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs).
Burna Boy was nominated alongside Ayra Starr, Black Sheriff, Tems, Zuchu, and Musa Keyz in the category.
Burna was chosen amongst other nominees, including Black Sherif (Ghana), Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Musa Keys (South Africa), and Zuchu (Tanzania).

Taylor Swift received four awards at the event, which was held at Düsseldorf’s PSD Bank Dome. Taylor Swift won top honors for “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version),” including “Best Artist,” “Best Video,” “Best Pop,” and “Best Longform Video.”
Nicki Minaj was named “Best Song” and “Best Hip Hop” for “Super Freaky Girl,” while Harry Styles was named “Best Live.”
