Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Omah Lay, and Others Nominated In 2022 NAACP Image Awards
Popular Nigerian musicians, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Fireboy DML, Kidi, and Omah Lay were nominated on Tuesday night for the NAACP Image Awards in the Outstanding International Song category, organised by the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP).
Fireboy DML was nominated for his hit song, “Peru”, while Grammy award winner Wizkid was nominated for his song “Essence”, which features Tems and Justin Bieber.
Tiwa Savage was also nominated for her hit song “Somebody’s Son”, which features Brandy, while Kidi was nominated for her song “Touch It”, and Omah Lay was nominated for her song “understand”.
Their nomination was announced on Tuesday in a virtual event on NAACP’s Instagram channel, which was hosted by popular American actress Kyla Pratt, Black-ish actor and singer Tinashe, and Marcus Scribner.

Winners of the Award show will be announced during a two-hour live television special, which will be hosted by popular NAACP Image Awards winner, Anthony Anderson, on Saturday, the 26th of February, 2022, at 8:00 PM ET/PT on BET.
