Police Arrest Yahoo Boy Who Killed His Girlfriend, 300L UNIJOS Student Jennifer Anthony, On New Year’s Day
The plateau state Police Command issued a statement on the 11th of January, 2022, stating that they had arrested a suspect in connection with Jennifer Anthony’s death.
According to the police statement, they found the body of Jennifer, which was not intact, on the 1st of January 2022 in Domus Pacis Guest House, Jos.
The suspect is identified as 20-year-old Moses Oko.
According to the police statement, they suspect that he is Jennifer’s boyfriend, who ran away after he allegedly killed her.
The Plateau State Police Command paraded 20-year-old Moses Oko today for the suspected murder of a 300-level female student at the University of Jos (UNIJOS).
The Spokesperson of the command, Ubah Ogaba, said the police launched an aggressive manhunt and trailed the suspect to Benue state, where they arrested him.
They added that they would arraign the suspect in court as soon as they finish their investigations.
The 300-level Special Education and Rehabilitation Sciences student, Jennifer, was declared missing on the 31st of December, 2021 on New Year’s Eve but was discovered by the police dead with her body parts not intact and one of her eyes missing.
Jennifer was found in a guest house opposite Pama Motors along Zaria Road in Jos on the 1st of January, 2021.
Jennifer’s friend, Jessica Dung, told BBC Pidgin that Jennifer had dressed moderately, wearing black trousers and a maroon T-shirt on Christmas Eve and had told her that she wanted to submit her CV at work.

Jessica then attempted to call her friend, but she did not answer her phone.
On the 1st of January, at 12: 03 pm, the hotel management discovered Jennifer’s body in a pool of blood in a room, not intact and missing an eye.
The manager of the guest house went to the police station on the 1st of January around 15:30 to report the case, and the police sent the surveillance team to the scene and evacuated Jennifer’s body to the Plateau Specialist Hospital, where doctors confirmed that she had died, and they deposited her body in the mortuary in the hospital.
The police arrested two receptionists in the hotel, and they trailed the suspect to Benue State, where they arrested him.
