Mohbad: “Nigerian Music Industry Is Very D@rk” – OAP Nedu

Renowned On Air Personality, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, better known as Nedu Wazobia, recently voiced his views on the Nigerian music industry, describing it as a rather challenging environment.

Nedu’s comments came in response to the untimely passing of the popular Nigerian singer, Mohbad, who tragically died at the age of 27.

In a trending video circulating on social media, Nedu expressed his thoughts on the industry he has been a part of for over 13 years. He pointed out that many individuals aspire to become music artists, driven by the desire for fame and wealth.

However, he emphasized that fame in the music industry often has a short lifespan, typically lasting no more than two years. There are, of course, exceptions, as some artists, known as legends, manage to maintain their prominence for up to two decades.

Nedu also highlighted the superficial nature of fame, where people flock to popular figures for celebration, but the same individuals may forget to acknowledge them on their birthdays, only to remember them when it’s time to offer condolences. He encouraged individuals to engage in their endeavors not for external validation but because they find fulfillment in what they do.
