How A Woman Kidnapped A Baby From A Hospital In Kano State

News of how a woman entered Abdullahi Wase hospital in Kano State to steal one of the twins that a woman named Samira Umar gave birth to has caused many reactions across Kano state.

Samira Umar’s sister woke up to find out that one of the twin babies who were beside her had disappeared.

She alerted the hospital by shouting and many people searched before the security force confirmed that they saw a woman at night, carrying a baby with her into a car and zoomed off.

A local radio station called Rahama broadcasted the news about the kidnapped baby and moments later a woman called the station.

The woman said that in her area, she saw a woman with a baby and she was sure that the woman was never pregnant.

Bilikisu

After her revelation, a journalist from the radio station named Bilikisu informed the police and located the suspect’s house.

The police alongside the woman who reported, the mother and aunt of the baby went to the suspect’s house and found out that the baby was hers.

The suspect claimed that the baby was hers and did not give a good explanation. Her husband, who was with her, also claimed that the baby was theirs, but his explanation was not convincing.

Police arrested the suspect and her husband and after the police investigated the couple, it was confirmed that the baby was not theirs and returned the baby back to it’s mother.
