
Wizkid, Tems, Burnaboy, Made, and Femi Kuti are the Nigerian musicians who are among other African artists who have been nominated in the 2022 Grammy awards.
The Awards show, which is dey officially known as the 64th Grammy Awards will happen on Monday, the 31st of January, 2022.
Wizkid and Femi Kuti got two nominations each, for Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance.
In the category of Best Global Music Performance, the artists who are listed in the nomination are: Arooj Aftab, Burnaboy, Angelique Kidjo, Femi Kuti, Wizkid ft. Tems, and Yo-Yo Ma.

While for the Best Global Music Album, the musicians who were on the nomination list were Angelique Kidjo, Rocky Dawuni, Made Kuti, Femi Kuti, and Wizkid.
Nigerians on social media platforms are sending their congratulations to Wizkid in advance after tweets of his nomination were posted.
Wizkid’s Made in Lagos Deluxe Edition got nominated for “Best Global Music Album”, and his song with Tems, “Essence,” got nominated for “Best Global Music Performance.”

And the “Best Global Music Performance” is the same award Burna Boy won last year.
