Although Sani Dangote was not as popular as his brother, Aliko Dangote, he was a rising businessman.
Before his death, Sani Dangote had investments in key sectors of the economy, which included manufacturing, banking, and agriculture.
His family, the Dangotes, belong to the influential Dantata family in Kano State, north-west Nigeria.
He was in the board of many popular Nigerian companies like Nutra Sweet Limited, Gum Arabic Limited, the Nigerian Textile Mills Plc, and Dangote Textile Mills Limited.
Aliko Dangote’s brother was also in the board of Dan-Hydro Company Limited, Alsan Insurance Brokers, Dansa Food Processing Company Limited and Dangote Farms Limited.
He was also the two-time President of Lagos Polo Club, and the Deputy Chairman of the African Gum Arabic Producers Association.
Dangote’s Brother was also a professional polo player.
He was appointed as the Consul-General of the Romanian Embassy in Nigeria Because of his strong leadership qualities.
He was also a member of Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Shipping of Nigeria, several Chambers of Commerce, and President of the Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association (FERSAN).
