WhatsApp Down: Thousands Of Users Experience Outage Of Meta App

Popular messaging app, WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta and used by many for texting, is reportedly experiencing a problem.

Users of the Meta App around the world are currently unable to send or receive messages.

The outage is affecting both personal and group chats, and it appears that sending messages to WhatsApp groups is currently impossible, but personal chats appear to be severely impacted as well.

The Meta App is unavailable for thousands of users, with over 20,000 crash reports indicating a major outage.

DownDetector, an outage detection website, confirms that WhatsApp is down for thousands of users.

According to the website’s heat map, the outage is affecting users everywhere.

The Meta App’s Web version appears to be affected by the outage as well, and the app’s web client is simply no longer connecting.
