A magistrate court has ordered the remand of three suspects who they claim are involved in the murder of seven-year-old Fadare Demilade in Ado-Ekiti state.
The magistrate court, which is located in Ado-Ekiti, ordered on Friday the remand of the three suspects, identified as Banji Olajiga, Sikemi Olajiga, and Victoria Olajiga, in the correctional center till legal advice is given by the department of public prosecution.
The three suspects are facing two-count charges of negligence and murder. Negligence which led to the murder of seven-year-old Demilade Fadare
We recall that on Monday, reports said that the body of a missing girl, Demilade Fadare, was found in a cooler in the house of the suspects, which led to their arrest.
The neighbours found the dead body of Demilade, the suspect’s house, which was in the neighboring community, and the body had many stab wounds with her blood completely drained.
Counsel for the defendant, Babatunde Oke, stated that they will await legal advice from the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) before proceeding with the case.
The court has adjourned the case to January 10, 2022.
A representative of Demilade’s family, Tope Fadare, who appeared in court, revealed that the family demands justice against the suspects.
