The EFCC Releases Obi Cubana After Three Days Of Detention
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has finally freed popular Nigerian businessman, Obi Cubana, after he spent three days in their custody.
The EFCC had given Obi Cubana two weeks’ notice to report to their Abuja office, and he went there on his own free will.
Although many local reports had reported that the businessman was arrested in his home and jailed, Obi Cubana’s wife later revealed that he went to their office and was not arrested.
He was only invited to the EFCC office for questioning, and they have finally freed him.
Although he is free, the EFCC are still investigating the allegations against him.
The businessman reported to their office on Monday, November 1st, 2031, around 11 a.m. and they were investigating him for tax evasion, money laundering, and abuse of Nigerian currency.
