Saudi Arabia Imposes Travel Ban On Nigeria
Saudi Arabia has now imposed travel restrictions on Nigeria, following the confirmation of the new COVID19 variant in the country. According to a Saudi embassy spokesman, the protocol was followed to prevent the infection from spreading further.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has not verified the temporary halt of travellers entering the Kingdom from Nigeria (NAHCON).
According to a reliable source, NAHCON is still waiting for an official notification from Saudi Arabia regarding the new restriction, but stressed that the measure would not impede the commission’s preparations for the Hajj in 2022.
