Armed Robbers Hijack Bullion Van, Kill Two In Oyo State Bank Robbery
An armed robbery attack which claimed two people’s lives happened after some robbers had hijacked a bullion van in the Idi-Ape area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
Reports say the van was carrying money when some armed robbers attacked them in the south-western Nigerian town.
The State Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, who confirmed the incident, denied the report, saying two police officers were shot dead by armed robbers who attacked the van.

Eyewitnesses said they counted at least two bodies on the scene after the robbers left the scene.
The Commissioner, who talked to the reporters when she visited the scene, also confirmed that one of the policemen had shot one of the armed robbers dead, who was later carried away during the gun battle.
Ngozi Onadeko added that they had carried two police officers who were shot to the hospital after they sustained injuries to their legs.
She also added that investigations are still going on and assured people that the people who were involved in the robbery attack would be punished.
