Queen Elizabeth has tested positive for COVID-19, and this was revealed by Buckingham Palace.
The palace revealed that Queen Elizabeth is experiencing small cold-like symptoms but is expected to continue small duties in Windsor over the coming week.
“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” they added in the statement.
The Queen, 95, was in contact with her eldest son and heir, the Prince of Wales, who tested positive last week.
Reports say that some people tested positive in Windsor Castle, where the Queen lives.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was sure that spoke for everyone wishing Her Majesty the Queen a fast recovery from COVID and a fast return to good health.
Leader of the Opposition, Labour Sir Keir Starmer, also wished her good health and a fast recovery. He added, “Get well soon, Ma’am.”
