Police Arrest Four Other Police Officers Involved In Abba Kyari’s Case
Nigerian DCP Abba Kyari, who was suspended, now has a case to answer with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, and the Nigerian Police.
On Monday, February 14, the NDLEA said in a press briefing that the former Commander of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) is a member of a drug cartel which operates the Brazil-Ethiopia-Nigeria illicit drug pipeline.
They later confirmed that the police arrested Abba Kyari and four others and handed them over to them.

Before that, Abba Kyari also had a case to answer with the police as they suspended him and probed his alleged involvement with Hushpuppi, also known as Ramon Abbas, who is facing an accusation of fraud in the US.
Between the case with the Nigerian police, his case with America because of Hushpuppi’s fraud case, and the recent revelation from NDLEA saying he is involved in an illegal drug case, the question is, what will happen next?
Four other police officers were handed over to NDLEA together with Abba Kyari.
ASP Bawa James, Inspector Simon, ACP Sunday J Ubua, Agirgba, and Inspector John Nuhu. However, according to ASP John Umoru, police are still on the run.
A interim investigation report which the police did, also linked two international drug couriers which they know as Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus, both males, who they arrested in Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu on the 19th of January, 2022 to the case.
