The leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, was expected to appear before the court today, October 21st, 2021.
The Nigerian Federal government charged Nnamdi Kanu with alleged acts of treasonable felony and terrorism.
Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, said his client is facing 3 count charges during his initial trial in 2015.
“Out of the 11 charges which the Nigerian federal government filed against him in 2015, the court struck out 8 counts out of the eleven charges because of my arguments.”
“Why is the Attorney General introducing 8 new charges,” Lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor questioned the Nigerian Federal Government.
