P-Square- Peter and Paul Okoye, Nigerian Afro Twins, Reconcile After Years of Rivalry
P-Square, one of Africa’s most well-known Afrobeats groups, has reconciled, putting an end to a years-long rivalry.
Popular singing pair Peter and Paul Okoye of the former Psquare musical group have been hailed by Nigerian celebrities and fans for putting aside their long-standing disputes and celebrating their 40th birthday together.
The two, who went their own ways after a five-year breakup, announced on their individual social media accounts yesterday that they were celebrating their birthdays together.
The Okoye twins were seen bursting champagne, hugging each other, and having a good time with friends and family members in a viral video released on Instagram.
It’s unclear whether the siblings will collaborate on new songs, but fans who have been celebrating their reconciliation definitely hope so.
They’re aiming for more singles like Do Me, Chop My Money, and Bizzybody, which propelled them to stardom across Europe and beyond.
The specific cause of the split has never been revealed, but previous attempts to bring them together, which included politicians, religious leaders, and other celebrities, have failed.
