Nnamdi Kanu Pleads Not Guilty Of FG’s Charges Against Him

Leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, says he is not guilty to the new charges which the Nigerian Federal Government accused him of.

The Nigerian Federal Government accused the leader of alleged acts of treasonable felony and terrorism.

The IPOB leader showed up at the courtroom ahead of his trial and not long after he pleaded guilty, the court’s judge ordered that Nnamdi Kanu should remain in the DSS custody and the case will be adjourned on the 10th of November, 2021.

The judge denied Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer’s application in the Department of State Services (the DSS) to transfer him to a correctional centre.

Lawyers in charge of Nnamdi Kanu’s case were not happy with the Federal Government’s charges against their Nnamdi Kanu as they felt that the charges are not written in the law, adding that it is worthless.

The charges filed against Nnamdi Kanu include;He was accused of using his radio broadcast from London to tell some parts of Benue and Kogi states to create a Biafra land.

Nnamdi Kanu was accused of using his radio broadcast from London to abuse President Muhammdu Buhari by calling him a “terrorist, a pedophile, an embodiment of evil and an idiot.”

Nnamdi Kanu was accused of importing radio transmitters like TRAM 50L and hiding them in containers and transporting them to Ihiala, Anambra state.

Nnamdi Kanu was accused of declaring himself a member of the Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob), a group which was banned by the Nigerian Federal Government.

Nnamdi Kanu was accused of terrorising through his radio broadcast from London to encourage members of the indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to attack Nigeria’s security forces and their family members.

He was accused of terrorism, boasting that many Nigerians would die and many events would happen.
