On Monday, April 4, 2022, the federal government ordered telcos to bar sims who are not linked to NIN from making calls, and hours later, after the order, it was reported that over 72 million people were barred.

If you are one of those who is still making calls when your SIM is not linked to your National Identification Number, let’s not be happy yet.

Let’s not be sad if your SIM has been barred. On social media, some people revealed they find it hard to register for NIN, as they mention several understandable reasons.

So because of that, some Twitter users revealed a shocking way of making calls even though you’ve been barred.


How can you still make calls when you’ve been barred?

1. Go to your phone’s settings

2. Disable your caller ID.

If you switch off your caller ID, you’ll be able to call, but if you call, the receiver will see your number as a “private number.”
