Nigeria’s Latest Travel Protocol For Vaccinated And Non-vaccinated Travellers
The Nigerian Federal government has released a revised travel protocol which will take effect from the 25th of October, 2021.
The Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee released a statement regarding the revised travel protocol.
From October 25th, 2021, Before travellers are allowed to enter Nigeria, they must present negative Covid-19 PCR test result which was conducted 72 hours before boarding a plane.
The revised travel protocol states that;
- Travellers must produce negative Covid-19 PCR result 72 hours before boarding; and Conduct PCR test on day 2 of their arrival.
- Fully vaccinated inbound passengers will not observe the mandatory seven-days self-isolation but they will be require to go through a Covid-19 PCR test on day 2 of arrival.
- Unvaccinated travellers will be required to observe a mandatory 7-day self-isolation in addition to a Covid-19 PCR test on day 2 and 7 after arrival.
- People who are entering Nigeria on a Business trip or on an official duty must be fully vaccinated.
Earlier, During the national briefing, The Chairman of Presidential Steering Committee, Boss Mustapha, said that the Presidential Steering Committee would publish a revised travel protocol.
He stated that the review of the protocol would be based on science, global developments, and national experience.
