Five-Year-Old Moroccan Boy Who Was Trapped In A Well Has Died (Photos)
A 5-year-old Moroccan boy who was trapped in a well for four days has died, despite serious efforts to rescue him.
A royal statement announced his death soon after they removed him from the well.
The effort to save the Moroccan boy, who was identified as Rayan, shocked the country as hundreds of people gathered at the well and thousands participated in a rescue mission.
The Moroccan boy fell into the well, which is 32 meters (104 feet) deep.Because a landslide was about to happen, the rescue mission was delayed for a short period of time.
Rescuers finally brought out Rayan from the well Saturday evening.
On social media, people started using the hashtag #SaveRayan, and it trended all over the world.
But minutes later, people’s hearts were filled with heartbreak when a stateman announced that Rayan had died.

Boy rescued from deep well has died, says Morocco’s king
Twitter users have started paying their tribute and expressing their sadness using the same hashtag.
“Because of the tragic accident which cost the life of Rayan Oram, His Majesty King Mohammed VI called the parents of the latter after he fell inside the well,” a statement from the royal palace said.
The king expressed his deepest condolences and sincere compassion.
Rayan’s father was trying to repair the well when the accident happened on Tuesday. He told local media the next day that his son fell down the shaft.
“At that time, I was not watching him.”
“I could not sleep or even close my eyes.”
