Mohbad: “I don’t want to l0se my son” — Primeboy’s Mother Cries Out
The mother of Ibrahim Owodunni, known as Primeboy and a childhood friend of the late singer Mohbad, has made a desperate plea for help as her son remains detained by the Lagos police.
Mohbad, a former artist signed to Marlian Record label, passed away in a controversial manner on September 12th.
In connection with the investigation into Mohbad’s death, several individuals, including the auxiliary nurse who treated him before his demise, Feyisoya Ogedengbe, Sam Larry, Naira Marley, and Primeboy, are currently in police custody.
In a viral video on social media, Primeboy’s mother appealed to actress Iyabo Ojo, journalist Oriyomi Hamzat, and the Nigerian public at large, expressing her fear of losing her son.

She emphasized that she had raised Primeboy to be of good character and could not believe he was involved in such an incident.
The distressed mother called on fellow Nigerians and pleaded for their mercy, particularly addressing Iyabo Ojo, known for her commitment to speaking the truth. She stressed her humble background and her desire not to lose her first child, imploring people not to let her son be used as a pawn in any conflict.
She also shared her belief that there was no killer in her family lineage and mentioned that Mohbad had lived with her and her children at one point. She urged those in their area to inquire about their relationship and clarified that Mohbad had supported her in her small business.
The situation surrounding Mohbad’s death has drawn significant attention, with the Lagos State Commissioner of Police naming the auxiliary nurse who injected Mohbad as the prime suspect in the case.
