22-Year-Old Keke Napep Rider Arrested For Raping A Female Passenger
Rasaq Taoheed, a 22-year-old Keke Napep Rider (tricycle rider), was arrested by Ogun State police officers for allegedly raping his female passenger and taking her valuables.
According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, he was apprehended after police received a distress call at the Ifo division around 4 a.m. on Monday.
His middle-aged passenger, who was said to have boarded the Keke Napep (tricycle) at Iyana Coker in Ifo, had complained that Taoheed was taking her to an unknown location.
On interrogation, the victim explained to the police that she boarded the tricycle from Pakoto bus stop, going to Iyana Coker, but the suspect suddenly brought out a locally-made pistol with which he threatened to shoot her if she didn’t cooperate.

“The suspect confessed to the commission of the crime,” Oyeyemi said, adding that they said tricycle and pistol were recovered from him.
