Following the incident in which popular American actor and Oscar 2022 best actor Will Smith slapped comedian, fellow actor, and producer Chris Rock, many celebrities reacted by expressing their thoughts on the incident.
Some of them praised Will for his actions. Some were not happy with Rock’s actions, while others were disappointed in Will because he did not keep “his cool” and disgraced himself by being the talk of the internet and being used as meme.
Although his son, Jaden Smith, was proud of his dad, as he reacted by saying, “And that’s how we do it.”
Popular Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji, also reacted, saying, “Smith punching Chris Rock was uncalled for and completely beneath him.
The celebrities who won the Oscar 2022 awards were interviewed after the incident, and they said their minds about what Smith did. Some said they were confused at first why Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, but when he warned Chris Rock not to joke about his wife, they realized what had happened.
