“I’ve been criticized because of my hazy, husky voice” – Davido

David Adeleke, also known as Davido, is an Afrobeat artist who has been dealing with his voice.
Davido told a Nigerian music magazine, ‘The Native,’ that he had lost his voice before a stage performance on several occasions.
Speaking about how he has been chastised for his foggy and husky voice, the singer revealed that he has had to learn to deal with the issue and guarantee that it does not interfere with his music.
He stated;
“My doctor, at some point, advised me against non-essential verbal communication.
“Because my voice is already husky, when my voice goes it’s so annoying. I like to express myself and I speak a lot, so when I can’t talk, it’s annoying.
“It’s so uncomfortable when I have a show and my voice is not back, and I’m impatient so I’ll just be coughing,” he said.
