Senator Ike Ekweremadu And Wife Reportedly Arrested In The UK For Organ Harvesting

Two Nigerians have been arrested in the United Kingdom for conspiring to traffic a child to Nigeria for the purpose of ‘harvesting’ the organs.

Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu and Ike Ekweremadu, a former deputy senate president, have been remanded in custody and will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Police.

The police confirmed that Ike Ekweremadu and his wife were charged with conspiring to bring a child to the UK in order to harvest organs in Nigeria.

Following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime team, the pair were charged. On the other hand, police said the child had been protected but did not reveal the child’s gender, age, or location of the arrests.

According to the report, the suspects were most likely apprehended at Heathrow Airport because they were scheduled to appear in court in Uxbridge.
