Iyabo Ojo, a veteran actress known as Queen Mother, has expressed her disappointment when a fan damaged her pricey and elaborate outfit at the recent AMVCA 2023 event.
Several celebrities from various industries packed the Eko Hotel Convention Centre at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, earlier this month for the renowned 9th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).
The actress’s appearance at the event, however, was duplicated by a fan who creates satirical content about celebrities’ appearances.
Iyabo Ojo revealed that she spent $50,000, which is about N37.5 million in Nigerian money, on her gorgeous and attention-grabbing clothing. Toyin Lawani, a well-known celebrity stylist, precisely created the gown.

In response, the mother of two jokingly threatened to enlist his attorneys and haul the fan to court for impersonating her in an unpleasant manner.
“Please, i need an Idan lawyer, who has Oba lawyers number, i need to sue this guy……… nobody should beg me oooo, we shall meet in court ………. my $50,000 💵 dress, no wayyyyyy,” she wrote.
