
The Nigeria Police Service Commission (PSC) has given a break on the case which involves suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, and Hushpuppi, also known as Ramon Abbas, who is facing an accusation of fraud.
The PSC gave the police two weeks to conclude further investigation into the case before making a decision.
The PSC also insisted that they set up a new panel to conduct the further investigation.

According to a statement that the Head, Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, signed, the commission took this decision at the 14th Plenary Meeting, which was held in Abuja.
Earlier, a special panel that the Inspector General of Police set up had investigated Abba Kyari.

They forwarded the report to the Attorney General of the Federation and the Minister of Justice for legal advice.

The commission this time directed that the investigation take half the time it took the police to conduct the original one. They also added that this one was carried out by a different panel.
