Former Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan Involved In An Accident Which Killed Two People

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan expressed sadness over the death of two police officers who were attached to the post after the accident in the Nigerian capital, Abuja.

The two officers who died were Inspectors Ibrahim Abazi and Yakubu Toma.

“They were fine officers because they were dedicated to their duties and service to the nation,” former President Jonathan mourned.

A deadly accident happened on Wednesday evening along the airport road in Abuja.

Reports say the former president hd returned from his state in the morning of the accident.

The accident occurred as the Ecowas Special Envoy was traveling from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to his house in Abuja.

The former president was in another vehicle and said, “I’m safe and fine,”

The officers who died were part of the security team that had worked with the former president for a long time.

Goodluck Jonathan described the incident as “painful and heart-rending,” adding that the death of the two security officers threw him into “deep mourning.”

Jonathan said two other officers sustained injuries in the accident, and the car that got into an accident is the car that carried the security men.

The accident is the latest on the list of road crashes that involved convoys of political leaders.
