Hours After ASUU Called Off Its Strike, FUNAAB Students Are Reportedly Set To Write Their Exams

FUNAAB students are reportedly set to write their exams over 24 hours after ASUU called off their strike.

The Federal University Of Agriculture, Abeokuta has created an examination schedule that runs from October 19th to October 28th, 2022.

It was reported on the 14th of October, 2022 that The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has temporarily halted its eight-month-long strike.

During a meeting of its leadership that began Thursday night and lasted into the early hours of Friday, the union decided to suspend the strike.

The union called the meeting to determine its next course of action after its state branches met last week in response to the Court of Appeal ruling.

The Court of Appeal ordered ASUU to halt its strike until its appeal of the ruling ordering lecturers to return to work could be heard.

Members of the union’s National Executive Committee, which includes state chapter chairmen and national executive members, attended the meeting at the ASUU National Secretariat in Abuja.

We recall that the strike began on February 14, 2022.
