Federal Government Reveals Facts About Nnamdi Kanu And Sunday Igboho From Their Investigations

The Nigerian Federal Government has released a report on the investigations they carried out on IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, and Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Igboho.

Sunday Igboho, leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra [IPOB] and Yoruba nation activist, is facing a case with the Nigerian federal government.

The Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami, had briefed reporters in a statement claiming that Nnamdi Kanu had been in the Department of State Services [DSS] custody since the Federal government agencies re-arrested him in June 2021. Nnamdi Kanu was accused of many crimes, which included encouraging violence in Nigeria.

Abubakar Malami started that the authorities have identifed the sponsors of Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, who is currently in detention in Benin Republic waiting for the court’s ruling.

A presidential ad-hoc committee which the Nigerian federal government set up after Nnamdi Kanu’s arrest, were the ones who carried out the investigations.

The minister of Justice told reporters that their investigations revealed that a federal law maker in the National Assembly is a major financier of Sunday Igboho

Sunday Igboho allegedly used one of his companies to collect money from his sponsors.

Sunday Igboho received a total transfer sum of 127 million naira from the 22nd October, 2013 to the 28th September, 2020.

Between March 2013 to the 11th of March 2021, the transactions they recorded from his account are 273 million naira, 198 thousand naira, and 2 hundred naira.

The Nigerian Federal government also said that Sunday Igboho contributed money to fund terrorism in Nigeria. He transferred 12 million naira to Abbal Bako & Sons.
