Arrested Driver Of BRT Where Bamise Ayanwole Was Kidnapped Reveals What Really Happened

The driver of the Lagos state Bus Rapid Transit, BRT, where a 22-year old lady, Bamise Ayanwole, was kidnapped and murdered, has given an account of what happened on the night of the scene.

He revealed this after police confirmed his arrest by the Department of State Services, DSS, on the 7th of March 2022.

This was after the police confirmed the death of 22-year-old Oluwabamise Ayanwole, who had been missing since the 26th of February 2022 after she entered the Lagos government BRT bus from the Ajah area to the Oshodi area of Lagos state.

The driver, in his own account of the report, denied that he was involved in Bamise’s death.

In a video where a reporter was asking him questions about where he was detained, the driver of the BRT bus, who was still in his dark and sky blue driver’s uniform, which was crested with the Lagos state logo, revealed what happened that night.

“Why did I run, sir? When those guys showed me the weapon, as I was saying sir, I could not be myself anymore. I became afraid, so whatever the man on the gun told me to do, that was what I did. When I followed that Carter Bridge, after that overhead bridge, they ordered me to stop there, and when they ordered me to stop, they said I should open the door. When they came down, they started dragging her down from the bus.
