On Monday, June 27, 2022, Justice Agatha Okeke convicted Olatunji on all 45 counts brought against him by the EFCC.

“The evidence of the prosecution witnesses is consistent, and the prosecution established the guilt of the defendant in the case of money laundering as it relates to counts one to five of the charges,” Justice Okeke stated.

The prosecution also established the defendant’s guilt in the cybercrime offense as it relates to counts six through 45 of the charges.

The prosecution proved the charges against the defendant based on the totality of the evidence presented in this court.”

Olatunji was sentenced to seven years in prison on counts one through five, and five years in prison on counts six through 45. The sentence, however, will run concurrently beginning on the date of arrest.

The money in the convict’s account was also ordered forfeited to Norwegian citizens via the EFCC by the court.

The EFCC will also sell two of his houses in Lagos State and return the proceeds to the Norwegian victims.
