
In Abeokuta, Ogun state, a high court released one of the four suspects who killed the girlfriend of their friend for money ritual for Ogun state.
The court stated that there was no evidence to show that Waris Oladeinde was involved in the killing during the trial, which took place on the 16th of March, 2022.
Ogun State Police Command arrested four suspects, 20 year old Balogun Mustakeem, 18 year old Majekodunmi Soliudeen, 19 year old Abdulgafa Lukman, and 18 year old Waris Oladeinde, on January 29, after they burned the girl’s head.
They also killed her in an uncompleted building in the Kugba area, Abeokuta.

A Magistrates’ Court remanded the four boys to prison as the trial and investigation were ongoing.

The magistrate, I.O. Abudu, ordered for the release of 18 year old Wariz Oladehinde, after the government’s counsel requested that he be set free.
Magistrate Abudu stated that he did not see any evidence that Wariz was involved in the money ritual incident.

The trial was adjourned to April 22, 2022.
The court gave an order to return the remaining three suspects to prison.
