Christians seen helping Muslims to clear grass at a mosque ahead of Sallah in Kachia, Kaduna State

Christians in Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State, have helped and joined Muslims in clearing grass at a mosque.

The religious service was held in preparation for Eid prayers during the month of Sallah.

Mr. Daniel Bitrus, who led the team of volunteers who joined Muslims in the selfless service, stated that the exercise was carried out to promote Sallah, religious unity and harmony.

Christians have joined Muslims in clearing the grass and removing dirt from the mosque’s surroundings.

According to the team’s leader, the selfless exercise took two days.

“We came here to support our brothers towards cutting down the grass and to also clear the dirt in the mosque and its surrounding, with the aim of promoting peace and unity. We hope to continue doing this every year to promote religious tolerance in the area.”

Mallam Ibrahim Tasiu, Secretary of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Kachia local government chapter, expressed his delight at the large number of Christians who participated in the selfless service.

He admitted that Christian youths arrived at the Eid ground for selfless service before Muslims.
